VIVIENNE O'BRIEN

My own philosophy as a teacher is to encourage empowerment, respect and nurture in the classroom. I have learnt that the best way to engage and encourage students is to lead them to their own discovery and for them to take ownership of their own ideas. I am delighted at the emphasis on cross curriculum and multiple layers of learning in our education system at the moment as I believe that creativity is linked throughout all fields in our life.  It is important for students to take responsibility of their choices and have freedom to develop who they are as an artist and as a citizen.
