Reflection

Students were very disruptive in the beginning of this project. I carried out a question asking in the beginning of the class and used worksheets. I found that the students did not engage when I gave them big handouts. There are times I found it difficult to motivate these students when it comes to homework. As a result, I began to bring in more physical tasks and shorten simplify the handouts I was giving. In the beginning of this project I came off unclear and bombarded the students with too much work in the first class. I simplified it down throughout the project and designated shorter handouts as homework tasks. This seemed to work well as students were able to remember the construction techniques by making these tombs and carrying out the motifs on the soap. Although this is not a practical solution for every lesson, I found that is seemed to work well for this lesson as students were happy to do the written work for homework and seemed to feel confident in knowing what to write from the tasks carried out in the classroom. I also realized the importance of having a clearly labeled powerpoints. This was a lifesaver that made these lessons so efficient and effective.
