Reflection

In this project, students responded well to the theme of 'Inside Out.' Clips of the film of Inside Out were shown which seemed relevant to this age group. Some students found this a little immature in the beginning but once conversation began to grow from the topic students began to rethink their previous viewpoints. This project was very dispersed due to classes being missed/ school trips/ school CBD days. It was difficult in the middle of the project to gain student's attention back to the theme, this is where I realized having too much emphasis on the theme can sometimes be exhausting especially when the theme is something as intense as emotion.  I decided to deviate from the theme and make it more task-based as I had been concept based originally. I think my planning overall with this class went well. I found the cleaning up part of the class a struggle but toward the end, I had established a routine with this class that worked well i.e. writing times and helper's names on the board.
